Dubai’s efforts to resolve business disputes on friendlier terms seem to be paying off.
There’s been a 41 per cent drop in commercial complaints filed by traders during the first half of this year.
The Department of Economic Development (Dubai Economy) handled 464 cases, which is down from 790 during the same period of 2018.
Nearly half of the complaints came from the services sector, while decoration & construction, foodstuff and electronics industries also featured prominently on the list.
The bulk of the issues were related to non-compliance with agreements and contracts, followed by commercial fraud.
