Representing UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Trade Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi attended the Eurasia Economic Forum in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The forum brought together leaders and senior officials from the Eurasian Economic Union to discuss trade, investment and economic cooperation.
Speaking during a session on trade and logistics, Al Zeyoudi highlighted the importance of expanding trade routes, adopting paperless logistics systems, and strengthening investment in transport infrastructure to boost global trade connections.
On the sidelines of the event, he held meetings with officials from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and the Eurasian Economic Commission to explore new opportunities for economic collaboration.
Al Zeyoudi said the UAE remains committed to strengthening ties with the Eurasian Economic Union and expanding trade and investment partnerships.
The UAE’s non-oil trade with EAEU countries exceeded $33 billion in 2025, while trade with Kazakhstan rose to more than $6 billion.
The visit also builds on the Economic Partnership Agreement signed last year between the UAE and the Eurasian Economic Union to support trade growth and economic diversification.
