The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) has announced that the Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery, operated by Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), came under drone attacks early on Friday, with a fire breaking out at several units as a result.
No injuries were reported at the site following preliminary assessments, according to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
Emergency response and firefighting teams were immediately deployed to the site and continue their efforts to contain the situation in accordance with the highest safety standards.
A number of refinery units were shut down as a precautionary measure, and all necessary procedures were implemented to ensure the safety of personnel and the security of the facility.
