Saudi Arabia's air defences intercepted and destroyed multiple drones and missiles from the Houthis targeting different regions in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Official Spokesperson for the Saudi Coalition Major General Turki Al-Malki said in a statement reported by the Saudi Press Agency that one drone and one missile was intercepted and destroyed heading towards Riyadh.
Al-Malki added that a cruise missile was also intercepted and destroyed towards Khamis Mushait.
It comes as Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport said on Saturday its Terminal 1 would be designated for domestic flights and Terminal 2 for international flights operated by national carriers starting from October 25.
