Sixth seed Kiki Bertens has withdrawn from the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, prompting a revised schedule for the women's draw.
This means, Kim Clijsters will face ninth seed Garbine Muguruza in the opening round, while two-time champion Elena Svitolina will play one of the qualifiers or lucky losers.
The top two seeds, Simona Halep and Karolina Pliskova have been handed a first-round bye.
The qualifying rounds got underway on Saturday and will continue till Monday morning when the six qualifiers will be known before the start of the main draw.
