Morocco are out of the World Cup. The team lost 2-0 against holders France, who will now face Argentina in the final.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai congratulated the Morocans on creating history.
In a post on social media he said “Morocco raised the head of the Arabs in the largest international sports forum... Thank you, the Atlas Lions”
He added he was “Proud of the lions” and “proud of the performance and spirit”.
