Operations at an industrial facility in Abu Dhabi’s Mussafah area have been temporarily suspended for violating environmental standards, including excessive air emissions.
The Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) took action after community complaints about strong odours and air pollution prompted inspections, which confirmed a negative impact on local air quality.
The EAD says monitoring and inspections will continue as part of ongoing efforts to ensure a cleaner and more sustainable environment.
The agency is urging all industrial facilities to strictly follow environmental regulations to protect public health and preserve the natural surroundings.
