As many as 256 residents have been moved to nearby hotels after a massive fire ripped through their apartments in Ajman One Towers during the early hours of Tuesday.
In an update on their social media channels, the Ajman Police said 64 apartments and 10 vehicles were gutted in the fire at Tower 02.
Officials added that efforts are being made to restore electricity in the tower so residents whose apartments haven't been damaged in the fire can return.
A mobile operations room, set up at the site, is assisting affected residents.
An investigation into what triggered the fire is currently underway.
