Inspection campaigns have been stepped up in driving institutes and vehicle testing and registration centres across Dubai.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) carried out 1,000 field visits during April and May to ensure the facilities are complying with the safety measures against COVID-19.
At least 24 violations were spotted during the checks and appropriate action was taken against the offenders.
The inspections will continue throughout the year.
"The RTA will spare no effort to protect the health and safety of both clients and employees in these facilities against the outbreak of COVID-19," said Mohammed Nabhan, Director of Licensing Activities Monitoring.
