Dubai clarifies COVID-19 test rule for inbound passengers

The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) has dismissed reports suggesting that it’s compulsory for all travellers to take a COVID-19 PCR test before flying to Dubai.

It has clarified that “not all” inbound passengers are required to submit a negative test report.

This came as the authority denied the false information being circulated in some newspapers and portals regarding the procedures for travel to Dubai.

It has also called on everyone to only rely on information from official sources.

As per the recent guidelines issued by Emirates Airline, a negative PCR certificate is only required for those flying from certain countries or airports.

The reports must be issued no more than 96 hours before departure.
