The Dubai Police has invited start-ups, tech companies and academic institutions to come up with innovative solutions to help the force combat future challenges in crime and data protection.
Launched at the Expand North Star 2025 exhibition, the 'Innovation Sprint 2.0' programme will give the participants an opportunity to identify, understand and examine the problems and design solutions.
Apart from crime, it will also look at issues surrounding autonomous cars, and car plate recognition.
The Dubai Police will then collaborate with the winning team and turn their idea into an official project.
Speaking to ARN News, Aisha Alkendy from Dubai Police’s Research and Development Centre, explained its importance:
The programme aligns with the Dubai Police's efforts in collaborating with private players to make the city smarter, safer and more efficient.
Submissions for the programme will be open until November 12.
Dubai Police has announced the launch of Innovation Sprint 2.0, running from 12 October to 12 November.
