Dubai Police issues over 4,500 hard shoulder violations

Since the start of 2026, Dubai Police have issued 4,504 hard shoulder violations, with drivers handed AED1,000 in fines and 6 black points.

The authority posted a video on social media platform X showing several motorists breaking the traffic law. 

Dubai Police reminded drivers that the "hard shoulder is reserved for emergencies - not for bypassing traffic".

"Keeping it clear allows emergency vehicles to respond quickly when every second counts," they added.

4,504 hard shoulder violations have been recorded since the start of the year.
