Dubai Police settles financial disputes of over 75,000 residents

More than 75,000 people from over 150 different nationalities have benefited from a smart service provided by the Dubai Police.

According to the emirate's police force, the platform allows the public to check if any debt-related travel bans have been issued against them.

Officials revealed that they have received more than 540,000 inquiries through the service, which has helped return AED2.6 billion to owners.

The platform, which was introduced in 2018 on Dubai Police's website, allows users to check their 'criminal status' in financial cases.

According to the latest updates reported during the Strategic Affairs Council meeting chaired by Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler and First Deputy Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, Dubai Police also offered an SMS service for individuals involved small financial disputes.

The messaging service acts as a reminder for residents who may have unsettled overdue payments.
