Free Wi-Fi service has been rolled out at 17 public bus stations and 12 marine transport stations in Dubai.
This initiative, in collaboration with e& (Etisalat), enables commuters to stay connected on their smartphones, tablets and laptops while travelling.
According to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), efforts are underway to extend the service to all 43 RTA stations, comprising 21 bus and 22 marine transport stations.
The remaining installations are expected to be completed by Q2 2025.
Khaled AbdulRahman Al Awadhi, Director of Transportation Systems at the Public Transport Agency, said this initiative is part of efforts to enhance the commuting experience and support Dubai’s goal of becoming the world’s smartest and happiest city.
He added that the service will be continuously evaluated and enhanced.
