Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has expanded e-bike delivery service to seven new areas, including Dubai Media City, Jumeirah Lakes Towers and Dubai Marina, to boost connectivity.
Al Twar 1, Al Twar 2, Al Qusais 1 and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard complete the list of new areas.
It follows the successful trial run launched last February in Al Karama, Al Hamriya, Umm Hurair, and Al Mankhool, with RTA stats showing customer satisfaction rate of approximately 99 per cent, and delivery riders' satisfaction over 90 per cent.
The expansion follows the implementation of established measures governing the delivery sector, including operations; monitoring; and compliance, the RTA added.
It explained that the new areas were selected based on availability of infrastructure and dedicated tracks, proximity to retail outlets and restaurants, growing demand from businesses, and number of soft mobility users.
