Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has advised motorists to expect traffic delays on several roads on Sunday, October 4, during the 'Proud of the UAE' cycling race.
Traffic is expected to be impacted along parts of the race route between 6:00 am and 8:30 am.
According to the RTA, affected roads include Al Ain-Dubai Road, Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street, Ras Al Khor Road and Al Meydan Road.
The authority said traffic will be temporarily suspended for periods ranging from 10 to 30 minutes and will be reopened once the last cyclist has passed through the affected areas.
Motorists are being encouraged to plan their journeys in advance, follow directional signs and allow extra travel time to minimise delays.
The cycling race is being organised by Dubai Police.
