A second storm is expected to bring more flooding and rainfall to the UAE's east coast by Monday.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), tropical storm Maha is intensifying and will bring with it extended periods of high tides.
It comes just days after Cyclone Kyarr caused flooding and water surges in parts of the UAE, resulting in around 30 homes being evacuated in Sharjah's Kalba area.
The families were moved to hotels as a precautionary measure.
Forecasters say Maha is currently sustaining wind speeds of upto 120 kmph.
