Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi toured the UAE pavilion at the Egypt International Airshow 2024, which commenced on Tuesday in its inaugural edition in New Alamein City.
The leader was briefed by Chairperson of the Emirates Defence Companies Council, Mona Ahmed Al Jaber, who highlighted the UAE pavilion's offerings through more than nine companies showcasing over 50 Emirati products under the "Made in UAE" brand, including unmanned aerial vehicles like the Shadow 50 and the "Garmoosha", which means female falcon.
The UAE Pavilion at the exhibition features the participation of the UAE Ministry of Defence, Tawazun Council, and nine UAE companies specialising in the aviation and aerospace sectors.
Jaber said that aviation and aerospace exhibitions contribute to advancing and innovating defence industries, providing a unique opportunity to highlight achievements, discuss developments, and explore the latest advancements in the aviation sector, particularly given the growing interest in defence and aviation industries as key contributors to the economic strength of nations.
The inaugural expo marked a strong start with global participation from over 100 countries and more than 300 entities.
