Child safety experts say parents must never be complacent when it comes to protecting their children.

That's after concerns were raised online in recent weeks - over an alleged attempted abduction in Dubai.

Maryam Ehsani of Child Safe ME says most cases are premeditated.

Authorities are reminding parents to be vigilant when they're out with their children.

Colonel Faisal Al Qasim, the head of security media at Dubai Police, says it's important to teach children about "stranger danger".
