Jail term awaits those sharing false information: UAE Public Prosecution

Those caught deliberately misleading the justice system by sharing inaccurate information will be put behind bars.

That's the word from the UAE Public Prosecution, which took to Twitter, to warn the public about the penalties involved in circulating false information.

They highlighted Article 266 of Federal Penal Code, which states that "whoever, with the intention of misleading justice, changes the conditions of persons, places or things, conceals evidence of the crime or submits false information in their respect, knowing that they are not true, shall be subject to a jail sentence".
