So far, 86 per cent of the UAE's academic staff have received the COVID-19 vaccine.
That's according to Dr. Farida Al Hosani, the UAE health sector's spokesperson, who made the announcement during the latest media briefing held on Sunday.
Meanwhile, 84 per cent of administrative staff have received the jab.

This comes after Dr. Farida announced PCR testing protocols for both vaccinated and unvaccinated students for the new academic year.
She also stressed the importance of implementing all the necessary safety guidelines during pupils' break times. These include ensuring that social distancing measures are met and that students are distributed evenly to prevent overcrowding.
