Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, has participated in a meeting convened by US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the 81st Session of UNGA81 in New York.
Foreign ministers and leaders from Jordan, Qatar, Turkey, Syria, Kuwait, Iraq, Lebanon, Bahrain and Oman also attended the meeting.
On the agenda were current developments in the Middle East and ways to consolidate security and stability in the region.
Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the UAE's support for regional and international efforts to de-escalate and establish lasting peace.
He also commended Trump's efforts to advance peace and development in the Middle East, and underscored the strategic relationship between the US and UAE, national news agency Wam reported.
