A citizen who suffered severe exhaustion while trekking Ras Al Khaimah's popular Wadi Shah trail, has been airlifted to safety.
The rescue operation was prompted after Ras Al Khaimah Police received an emergency alert.
The hiker was found at an altitude of 2,000 feet, the rescuers said.
He has been transferred to a nearby government hospital for a full health check.
Authorities have urged hikers to be extra cautious while heading out during summer months and to always stick to the marked trails.
