The UAE has expressed its solidarity with Syria following a deadly ferry accident in Deir al-Zor.
At least two children were killed after a ferry carrying more than 35 people collided with a bridge while crossing the Euphrates River.
More than 15 people have been rescued, while search operations are continuing for those still missing.
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its condolences to the victims' families and to the government and people of Syria.
