UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has held separate phone calls with regional leaders after Iran launched a wave of missile strikes in the region.
During the calls with Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, Sheikh Mohamed underscored the need for an immediate cessation of all attacks and a return to dialogue and diplomatic solutions in order to preserve the security of the region and prevent further escalation.
They added that the strikes are a violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
