UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has held his first talks with UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham since his appointment, with the two leaders reaffirming their commitment to strengthening relations between the UAE and the United Kingdom.
During the phone call, Sheikh Mohamed congratulated Burnham on taking office and wished him success in leading the UK.
The leaders discussed ways to deepen cooperation across a range of sectors in support of the longstanding partnership between the two countries. They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
