The UAE's air defence systems announced it is continuing to intercept incoming missile and drone threats from Iran on Wednesday.
Authorities advised the public to stay in a safe location and follow official channels for warnings and updates.
The Ministry of Defence added that the sounds heard were of air defence interception operations.
