UAE steps up efforts to protect senior citizens

The UAE is taking further measures to protect the rights of the elderly.

A draft law concerning their welfare has come up for discussion in the Federal National Council (FNC).

It has 23 different clauses focusing on healthcare, community involvement, financial stability as well as overall quality of life.

It aims to ensure that senior citizens remain active members of society and have access to the services they need.
