The UAE has strongly condemned the shooting incident at a school in the city of Tacloban, southeast of Manila, that left three students dead and seven others injured.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated its firm rejection of all forms of violence and extremism that aim at undermining security and stability.
The ministry also expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the victims and the government, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
Authorities in the Philippines have launched an investigation in the incident that saw two students, aged 15 and 14, launch the attack.
One of the suspects was arrested immediately after the shooting, while the other later surrendered, authorities added.
