A rescue drill has been carried out in Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Zayed Tunnel to test the readiness of emergency services.
The exercise simulated a collision between a truck carrying flammable materials and a passenger bus that triggered a major fire.
The mock operation assessed the unified response mechanism of emergency teams to deal with similar incidents.
The Sheikh Zayed Tunnel is a key access point to Abu Dhabi island, with nearly 40,000 vehicles passing through it daily.
