Medics are calling on people to adopt a healthy lifestyle, on the occasion of World Heart Day. 70% of people examined during free health checks at malls in the capital last month were overweight or obese, according to Medeor 24x7 Hospital Abu Dhabi. Over 1500 people had visited the hospital’s booths at Marina Mall and Mushrif Mall, where they were screened for BMI, blood sugar and cholesterol. The hospice is conducting free screenings for cardiovascular diseases at Yas Mall today.
